JOB SUMMARY
APM is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team! Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping people? APM is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support to our HR Department and help ensure a positive experience for employees and applicants. This position supports a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, HRIS data entry, compliance tracking, and general HR administration.
Some duties and responsibilities include:
- Maintain confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
- Enter and update employee information in the HRIS.
- Assist with recruitment, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
- Prepare new hire paperwork and onboarding materials.
- Assist with background checks and employment verifications.
- Track licenses, certifications, clearances, training, and other required documentation.
- Support employee changes, separations, and offboarding.
- Respond to routine employee and applicant inquiries.
- Assist with timesheets, attendance records, payroll documentation, and benefits enrollment.
- Support HR events, employee recognition activities, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Perform general administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of administrative or HR experience strongly preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and data-entry skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidential information.
