Job Description
As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Armed Security Officer, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of corporate facilities, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting entries, incidents, and relevant observations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and promptly notify appropriate personnel.
- Assist with maintaining a professional presence at a technology-focused corporate location while following Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A .40 caliber endorsement is required.
- A California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
