Position Summary: The Practice Manager is responsible for administering the day-to-day activities and operations of the office including patient and employee relations, recruitment and terminations, team management, marketing and communication efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance, staff training and motivation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Commit to developing your team by promoting an environment of continous learning by providing trovide training, coaching, mentorship, etc to new and existing employees. Must be confidant in recruitment, training, or termination of employees as needed.
- Financial Management: Handle patient billing, insurance claims, and accounts receivable. Must be able to record and manage transactions daily, weekly, and monthly for accurate bookkeeping. Ensure invoices are sent to the proper department for timely payment submissions.
- Equiptment Management: Schedule preventative services for any equiptment that may require it, make sure any broken equiptment is repaired in a timely manner, maintain a log of any/all maintenance and or repairs.
- Patient Relations: Provide respectful conflict resolution, de-escalation, financial transparency and advocacy. We want our OM's to build and maintain a friendly relationship with our patients and their families. Must be able to confidently read a ledger to explain any billing questions, have professional phone etiquitte, retain and communicate well with patients.
- Compliance: Maintain OSHA and HIPAA industry standards. Know and follow the Illinois State Dental Society guidelines. Help or arrange training for your team if needed (CPR, CE's, lunch-n-learn's for new software or equiptment, etc).

- Communication: You must be able to effectively and impactfully communicate with your team, often acting as the liasion between Doctor, hygienist, staff, or upper management.
- Organization: Keep your office tidy, clean, and have order of your inventory and supplies.
- Cognitaive Thinking: Must be able to independently problem solve basic level issues, catch any forseeable problems that may occur and resolve them, and make sound decisions based on data, policies, or regulations.

You will be the "moral compass" for your office and foster an environment of honesty, accountability, and respect. Must maintain this code of ethics amongst your employees, patients, financials, and business operations at all times.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- 3+ years of dental office management experience
- Experience managing 10+ people (preferred
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate team
- Excellent organizational skills, customer service, and multi-tasking ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Compensation:
