Boot Fitter

Work Location: Windham, NY (In-Person)

Seasonal Position: This role is available for the winter season.  

Potential year-round positions may be available after successfully completing the winter season.

Pay: $21 - $25 per hour

Anticipated Start Dates: Starting in November

Scheduling Expectations:  30-40 hours per week. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Transportation:  Must be able to get to and from work consistently and reliably in challenging weather conditions.  

Position Summary:

Windham Mountain Club is looking for a friendly and motivated Boot Fitter to join our team for the winter season. In this role, you'll help guests find properly fitting ski and snowboard boots, provide excellent customer service, and learn boot fitting techniques from experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist guests with boot sizing and fittings.
• Make basic fit adjustments and recommend appropriate products.
• Educate guests on boot fit, use, and care.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Work with teammates to create a great guest experience.

Qualifications:

• Customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Interest in skiing, snowboarding, and mountain life.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn boot fitting techniques.
• Any level of skiing or snowboarding ability preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform hands-on fitting and adjustment tasks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
