Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a busy distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activities, communicate concerns, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident documentation, and shift communications while following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
