Currently the HK office also houses our Asia e-discovery business and project teams.In the current LOD HK team, we have:• Client Solutions Director: Responsible for business development, client acquisition, strategic relationship management and revenue growth across Hong Kong and the broader region.• People & Development Team: Responsible for attracting, engaging and managing our legal consultants and flexible talent community.Unlike many traditional business development roles, this position provides the opportunity to leverage deep legal industry expertise, build trusted advisor relationships with senior legal leaders, and influence how legal departments approach talent, technology and transformation. The role is particularly attractive to lawyers, in-house counsel, legal operations professionals and legal consultants seeking a more strategic and commercially focused career path.ADDITIONAL SUPPORT• Regional Client Solutions and New Business teams providing lead generation, market intelligence and cross-border opportunities.• Regional Marketing, Operations and Delivery teams supporting client growth initiatives.• Access to a global Consilio network of legal, consulting, technology and managed services professionals.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe OpportunityThis isn't your typical legal business development role. As our Client Solutions Director in Hong Kong, you'll be at the forefront of LOD's growth across Hong Kong and the broader Asia region. You'll build meaningful relationships with leading legal teams, help clients solve increasingly complex resourcing, legal operations and transformation challenges, and play a key role in shaping how legal services are delivered across the market.This role is ideally suited to a qualified lawyer, in-house counsel, legal operations professional, legal transformation consultant, or legal services professional looking to combine deep industry expertise with commercial impact. You will act as a trusted advisor to General Counsel, Heads of Legal and Legal Operations leaders, helping clients navigate talent, legal technology, operational efficiency and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Building and nurturing relationships with General Counsel, Heads of Legal, Legal Operations leaders and senior business stakeholders across Hong Kong and Asia.• Owning the full business lifecycle from prospecting through to closing.• Developing tailored legal resourcing, consulting and transformation solutions.• Advising clients on legal operations, legal transformation and legal department optimisation initiatives.• Engaging with legal operations leaders regarding technology adoption, workflow improvement and service delivery models.• Leveraging knowledge of legal technology platforms including CLM, contract lifecycle management, matter management, eBilling, eDiscovery, AI-enabled legal technologies and related solutions to identify opportunities.• Growing existing client relationships across LOD and Consilio services.• Developing pitches, tenders and proposals.• Partnering with marketing on campaigns and events.• Driving cross-border opportunities with global colleagues.• Representing the LOD brand externally as a market expert on trends impacting in-house legal teams.• Maintaining CRM and pipeline reporting.

Qualifications

What Success Looks LikeDriving sustainable revenue growth, winning new clients, expanding existing relationships and becoming a trusted advisor to General Counsel, Heads of Legal and Legal Operations leaders across the region.What You'll Bring• Qualified lawyer (private practice and/or in-house) highly regarded.• 8–12 years' experience within legal services, legal consulting, legal operations, professional services, recruitment, business development or related fields.• Demonstrated success in client acquisition, stakeholder engagement and commercial growth.• Experience in legal operations, legal transformation, alternative legal services or consulting strongly preferred.• Strong familiarity with legal technology ecosystems including CLM, contract lifecycle management, matter management, eBilling, eDiscovery, AI legal tools and related legal operations platforms.• Strong understanding of the challenges facing modern in-house legal departments, including budget pressures, resource constraints, outside counsel management, technology adoption and efficiency initiatives.• Ability to establish credibility with General Counsel, Heads of Legal and Legal Operations leaders through practical industry experience and insight.Preferred Background• Qualified lawyer with private practice and/or in-house experience.• Legal Operations Manager, Director or equivalent.• Legal transformation or legal consulting professional.• Alternative legal services professional.• Experience advising legal departments on talent, operations, technology or transformation initiatives.Who You AreCommercially minded, relationship-focused, proactive and resilient.
