At Thales, we know technology has the ability to make our world more secure, sustainable, and inclusive – and that it’s all driven by human intelligence.
Because it takes human intelligence to build and power the systems and solutions that people depend on every day. So we stay curious and make space for diverse points of view. We share what we know and we challenge what’s possible.
We’re driving progress in some of the world’s most important industries - from the bottom of the oceans to the depths of space and cyberspace - and from manufacturing to engineering, we work together to build a future we can all trust.
Imperva, a Thales company, is a globally recognized cybersecurity leader, dedicated to securing data and applications across diverse environments. Our cutting-edge solutions empower organizations to safeguard their most critical assets, ensuring robust protection against emerging threats.
We are looking for a DevOps Team Leader (Core Team) to drive our DevOps vision, infrastructure strategy, engineering productivity, and operational excellence across the organization.
In this role, you will lead a team of 6 DevOps engineers and work closely with R&D teams to design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure and development platforms.
This is a hands-on leadership role with significant technical ownership and cross-organizational impact.

Partner with R&D teams to improve developer experience, engineering productivity, deployment velocity, and operational efficiency
Drive high standards of reliability, scalability, availability, observability, security, and operational readiness
Own and evolve monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response capabilities
Provide technical leadership and influence cross-team infrastructure and architectural decisions
Identify infrastructure bottlenecks and operational risks and drive improvements from design through production
Establish reusable solutions, automation, and standards to reduce operational overhead across engineering teams
Participate in production incident handling and continuously improve operational processes based on lessons learned
Requirements:
At least 2 years of managerial experience.
At least 6 years of hands-on DevOps experience in production environments.
Proven experience designing and delivering infrastructure and DevOps projects end-to-end from scratch.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including technologies such as EKS, IAM, CloudFront, RDS, MSK, networking, and related services.
Strong Kubernetes experience in production environments.

Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD.
Experience troubleshooting complex production infrastructure and distributed systems.
Proven ability to take ownership and drive technical initiatives from design through production.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple engineering teams.
Willingness to participate occasionally in PagerDuty/on-call escalation as second-line production support.
Nice to Have:
Previous experience leading, mentoring, or technically guiding engineers; formal people-management experience is not required.
Experience building or operating internal developer platforms or shared infrastructure services.
Experience with cloud cost optimization and infrastructure capacity management.
Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools related to GitOps, autoscaling, observability, networking, or security.
