Description
We are looking for an experienced SAP DRC Consultant to support the design, implementation, and rollout of SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) solutions, with a strong focus on SAP SD processes and electronic invoicing requirements.
The ideal candidate combines solid functional SAP SD knowledge with a practical understanding of technical e-invoicing integration topics, including ABAP-based enhancements.

Key responsibilities
- Analyze business and statutory e-invoicing and e-reporting requirements across countries and translate them into SAP DRC solution designs.
- Configure and support SAP SD processes relevant to compliant invoicing, including billing documents, billing types, output-related processes, cancellation and correction invoices, customer master data, tax-relevant fields, and pricing elements.
- Configure and support the implementation of SAP DRC for electronic document exchange, including integration with local tax authority platforms and Peppol networks where applicable.
- Define functional specifications for required enhancements, forms, interfaces, mappings, validation rules, and error-handling processes.
- Work closely with ABAP developers and integration specialists on custom developments, troubleshooting, and testing.
- Support the end-to-end flow from SD sales order and delivery through billing, e-invoice generation, transmission, status processing, and archiving.
- Coordinate testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Investigate and resolve incidents related to billing documents, e-invoice generation, XML payloads, Peppol message exchange, response statuses, and compliance reporting.
- Prepare project documentation, solution design documents, test cases, training material, and handover documentation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance/tax teams, local compliance experts, and external implementation partners.
- Several years of hands-on SAP consulting experience, with strong expertise in SAP SD, especially billing and invoicing processes.
- Strong expertise in SAP Document and Reporting Compliance / SAP eDocument Framework, electronic invoicing, or statutory reporting solutions.
- Experience with country-specific DRC/e-invoicing implementations in Europe.
- Understanding of end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes, including sales orders, deliveries, billing, invoice cancellation, credit/debit memos, pricing, tax determination, and customer master data.
- Experience with e-invoicing formats and concepts such as XML, structured invoice data, validation rules, digital signatures, transmission status handling, and invoice lifecycle management.
- Practical exposure to the different exchange models and XML format used for einvocice
- Ability to create clear functional specifications and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
- Good understanding of ABAP concepts is beneficial, including debugging, user exits/BAdIs, enhancement frameworks, custom tables, reports, interfaces, IDocs, and troubleshooting of custom developments.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP, DRC, middleware, APIs, SOAP/REST services, or other integration technologies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage compliance-related defects under time pressure.
- Professional English communication skills; additional European languages are an advantage.
- Familiarity with tax and compliance processes in FI, including FI-SD integration and tax determination.
- Experience with invoice archiving, document management, and audit-trail requirements.
- Knowledge of SAP output management, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, BRF+, or Output Parameter Determination.
- Experience in Agile delivery environments and cross-country rollout projects.
- SAP certifications in S/4HANA, SD, SAP DRC, integration, or ABAP.
