This is for 10th of Ramadan Plant – Cairo – Egypt.

The Head of Supply Chain – Egypt will be responsible for leading and managing the full spectrum of supply chain operations for the Egypt business unit of a multinational company. This includes overseeing material handling engineering, supply planning, customs and compliance, and material planning follow-up/call-off processes, while driving operational efficiency, cost optimization, and cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate brings a strong strategic mindset, deep operational knowledge, and proven leadership capabilities in managing complex, multi-functional supply chain environments.

What you’ll do:

Supply Chain Management

  • Support the development and execution of supply chain activities in line with company goals in Egypt.
  • Coordinate daily supply chain operations, including material handling, planning, customs processes, and inventory management.
  • Act as a link between local teams and regional/global supply chain stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and execution.

Material Handling & Engineering

  • Manage material handling operations to support efficient production and warehouse activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve material flow, warehouse layouts, and operational safety.
  • Support automation and process improvement initiatives where applicable.

Supply Planning & Material Management

  • Oversee supply planning activities to maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure material availability.
  • Follow up with suppliers on material deliveries to avoid shortages and production disruptions.
  • Work closely with procurement and production teams to respond effectively to changes in demand.

Customs & Trade Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local import/export regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate with customs authorities, brokers, and relevant stakeholders to support timely clearance of shipments.
  • Monitor customs activities and help resolve issues that may impact material availability.

Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Track supply chain performance using key metrics such as delivery performance, inventory levels, and lead times.
  • Support process improvement and cost optimization initiatives across supply chain operations.
  • Use available systems and data to support operational decision-making and reporting.

Team Management & Development

  • Lead and support the supply chain team in achieving operational objectives.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to help team members develop their skills and capabilities.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or postgraduate degree is a strong advantage.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management within a multinational or industrial environment.
  • Strong background in material handling systems, supply and material planning, and customs operations.
  • Solid understanding of ERP systems (preferably Oracle), planning tools, and supply chain analytics.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and large-scale operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
