At GMIB.ie, a Gallagher company, we're looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join our team in Killarney. Whether you're developing your career in insurance or bringing experience from a client-facing, sales or professional services environment, we'll support you with the training, development and opportunities to help you succeed.

 

As part of a growing organisation backed by the strength of Gallagher, you'll work closely with businesses across a range of industries, helping them protect their people, assets and ambitions through tailored insurance solutions.

How you'll make an impact

You'll become a trusted partner to commercial clients, helping them navigate risk and identify solutions that support their business goals. In this role, you'll:

• Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of commercial clients.
• Understand each client's business and provide insurance solutions tailored to their needs.
• Deliver advice and support throughout the customer journey.
• Work with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive cover and terms.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and broaden existing portfolios.
• Support business retention and growth by delivering exceptional service.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment where knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are encouraged.

About you

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, building long-term relationships and finding solutions that create value for clients. You'll bring:

• APA qualification or working towards APA is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The confidence to build credibility with a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive and customer-focused approach.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience in customer service, sales, account management or business development would be advantageous.
• A commitment to achieving professional insurance qualifications, which will be fully funded by GMIB.ie.
