Computer User Support Specialist

Opportunity

Information Management Group (IMG) is seeking a highly motivated Computer User Support Specialist to join our team in Schenectady, NY. This on-site position requires a professional who brings strong technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a first-line role in help desk troubleshooting, response, and remediation.

• Possession of technical skills to work with end users
• Ability to resolve issues of moderate complexity
• Trouble ticket remediation and responding to physical troubleshooting of hardware components and equipment
• Responsible for accomplishing routine IT tasks at the discretion of your team lead.
• Providing customer support and ensuring customer satisfaction of resolution of any IT issues in a timely manner and proper documentation for compliance and continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
  • OR, Associate Degree with two years’ experience
  • OR, High School Degree and four years’ experience
• CompTIA A+ or similar cert with customer approval
• DoD Top Secret or DOE Q
• Candidates will be required to take a drug test prior to working onsite and agree to random drug testing throughout your tenure

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent customer support experience and soft skills to ensure end-user satisfaction
• Strong knowledge of the English language and experience performing technical troubleshooting
• Ability to lead small teams or projects through cross functional coordination/collaboration with other departments
• Assist key stakeholders in overall project execution and find solutions through creative problem solving
• Ability to demonstrate proven success with adaptability – willingness to evolve with technology while ensuring data accuracy standards
