This position will work Swing Shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm

  

Under the supervision of the Facilities Lead and/or General Foreman, Facilities Technicians install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems and equipment throughout the property. This position supports operational continuity across hotel, casino, restaurants, and back-of-house environments while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and guest service.

Technician progression (I and II) reflects increasing skill level, independence, technical expertise, and leadership responsibility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  

Technician I

  • Assist with general maintenance and repair activities as assigned.
  • Complete required maintenance documentation and CMMS entries.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on facility systems and equipment.
  • Support basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building maintenance tasks under supervision.
  • Assist with wastewater, boiler, HVAC, and refrigeration system maintenance as directed.
  • Perform interior and exterior facility upkeep including basic repairs and seasonal duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures and operational standards.
  • Maintain guest service standards in all interactions.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling based on operational needs.


Technician II

Performs all duties of Technician I, plus:

  • Perform skilled maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment with moderate supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve more complex maintenance issues across multiple systems.
  • Assist with and perform construction, renovation, and remodel work throughout the property.
  • Install and repair doors, hardware, framing, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and finish materials.
  • Perform FF&E installation and facility improvement work.
  • Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Support and monitor work performed by outside contractors as assigned.
  • Serve as backup support for other Facilities team members.
  • May assist in guiding or training Technician I team members in daily tasks.
  • Maintain accurate CMMS records including labor, materials, and work order updates.

Requirements

Technician I

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Certification from a college, technical school, or trade program preferred. 
  • OR completion of a trade apprenticeship program with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in one or more of the following trades: construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, card access systems, locksmith, or motor and controls. 
  • OR three (3) years of related experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, locksmith, or motor and controls. 
  • A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered.


Technician II

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Certification from a college, technical school, or trade program preferred. 
  • OR completion of a trade apprenticeship program with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in three (3) or more of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, card access systems, locksmith, or motor and controls. 
  • OR five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, locksmith, or motor and controls. 
  • A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered.

  

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Class III Gaming License
  • Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record  
  • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred (Technician III preferred).
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Additional trade certifications preferred based on assignment.

Ability to complete the following training as required.

  • Forklift operation certificate
  • Certified Pool Operator
  • Lock out tag out.
  • Fall arrest.
  • Confined space
  • SDS
  • Asbestos and lead identification
  • Ladder safety
  • Emergency evacuation
  • OSHA 
  • Respirator training 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work overhead.
  • Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and construction equipment.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions.

  • Regular exposure to construction dust, noise, mechanical systems, and varying temperatures.
  • Exposure to wet conditions, chemicals, moving machinery, and electrical hazards.
  • Work performed in active hospitality and gaming environments requiring professionalism and guest awareness.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations as operational needs require.
