Summary:
This position will manage the agency relationships in vacant field marketing territories or agencies otherwise assigned by the VP of Marketing. This position works closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and the Field Marketing Representatives to provide support throughout the onboarding journey of newly appointed agencies to ensure the agent’s successful integration to the Goodville Mutual products, processes, sales and marketing strategies. This position also works closely with the VP of Marketing to provide administrative support with managing our national agency relationships to achieve production and profitability goals and to ensure a successful long-term relationship with Goodville Mutual.
Functions:
- Provide support to the Field Marketing Representatives to ensure successful and complete onboarding of newly appointed agencies and new agency employees.
- Assist agencies in marketing, including promotion of co-op advertising support, and underwriting within established guidelines.
- Maintain a presence for Goodville agents located in territories not currently serviced by a field marketing representative to promote the company image and promote profitable growth.
- Support agency growth and profitability goals with appropriate strategies/tactics.
- Add value to each agency interaction through appropriate pre-call planning and by demonstrating effective post-meeting follow-through.
- Provide review of the Agency Performance Reports at the summary, book and state levels for the national agency relationships to identify and achieve profitability goals.
- Complete call reporting requirements in a timely manner.
- Maintain knowledge of the current industry and marketing practices/trends through continuing education.
- Pursue appropriate Property and Casualty insurance designations including but not limited to CPCU.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in marketing, management, or communications, with demonstrated skills in these areas, required.
- Three years’ experience in marketing and/or underwriting Property and Casualty insurance products, services, and/or independent agency operations preferred.
- Ability to develop a thorough understanding of company underwriting guidelines and to explain the company’s lines of coverage required.
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently and to exercise sound judgment based on company policies and procedures required.
- Ability to work effectively with company computer systems and processing methods, and agency management systems required.
- Thorough knowledge of insurance regulations and laws of assigned states preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, travel to all organization offices (including in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Dakota) and travel to vendor work sites required.
- Ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise level, remain in a stationary position and operate a computer a majority of the time required.
- Ability to move throughout the office to access work materials and to move work materials weighing up to ten pounds daily required.
