Description

About the role

You will be part of the DevOps Center of Excellence, a team dedicated to helping engineering teams improve both how they build software and how they work together. We provide coaching, guidance and hands-on support across the full DevOps landscape, from technical practices, automation and developer experience to team collaboration, flow and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will work closely with Scrum Masters and engineering teams to identify obstacles, strengthen ways of working, and enable sustainable delivery at scale. By facilitating change, supporting organizational initiatives, and driving improvements across team boundaries, you will help create an environment where teams can perform at their best. Operating in a modern technology environment, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and have a real opportunity to shape how people, processes and technology come together to deliver value.

What are you going to do?

  • Coach Scrum Masters and teams in improving flow, collaboration, ownership, and delivery in practice
  • Support teams in planning, collaborating, following up on work, managing dependencies, and removing friction from delivery
  • Turn retrospectives, metrics, and observations into concrete actions that create lasting improvements
  • Work hands-on with teams to address real challenges and improve operational excellence in everyday work
  • Operate within and across teams, improving alignment where work depends on others
  • Navigate complex environments with unclear ownership, delivery pressure, and varying agile maturity
  • Ensure that improvements lead to better outcomes, not just better ceremonies
  • Mentor new and less experienced Scrum Masters, helping them grow into strong improvement leaders
  • Guide Scrum Masters in challenging constructively, driving change with credibility, and supporting teams in building sustainable habits
  • Lead by example and contribute hands-on when needed to help teams move forward
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to influence how teams develop, collaborate, and succeed

What do we expect from you?

  • Several years of experience working with agile ways of working in software engineering organizations and understanding modern delivery environments
  • Proven experience coaching Scrum Masters, engineering teams, and stakeholders in continuous improvement, delivery effectiveness, and operational excellence
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and flow-based improvement, with the ability to apply practices pragmatically based on context
  • Experience working across teams and dependencies, improving collaboration, alignment, and delivery outcomes
  • Ability to mentor and support less experienced Scrum Masters, helping them grow in confidence, structure, and impact
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build trust, align stakeholders, and drive change
  • A pragmatic and credible coaching approach focused on turning insight into action
  • Ability to adapt coaching methods to context rather than relying on one-size-fits-all solutions
  • Being comfortable challenging teams and Scrum Masters constructively, with empathy and a growth mindset
  • Day-to-day responsibilities require a good/excellent level of English to communicate with colleagues in other countries

Our promise to you

  • Monthly salary: €4000 - €5000 gross depending on your qualifications
  • Strong company culture: knowledge sharing, company events, interesting speakers, and other inspiring initiatives
  • Career and development opportunities (e.g. 3 dedicated up-skilling days) in the biggest insurance company in the Nordics
  • Challenging and exciting projects with autonomy to plan own tasks
  • Extra vacation days, annual bonus, great insurance benefits, discounts on our products for you and your family, gifts, etc.
  • Possibility of hybrid work, where office is our primary workplace
  • A recently renovated office in Riga centre with a 24/7 gym on the premises
  • Business trips to Baltic and Nordic countries
