JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Summary of the Job:  
The navigator oversees daily operations and workflow for the Incidental findings discovered on imaging exams.  The navigator works with imaging leadership and community outreach to promote business development. Provide customer service to the ordering providers, clinic managers, and patients. Manage follow-up imaging tests and referrals. Educate providers, community and patients on the application as well as future enhancements. Acts as the point of contact while collaborating with Siemens and providers. Provides statistical reporting, program enhancements, and marketing initiatives for continued program growth. Management of the AIRC findings and follow-up recommendations based on Radiology reports. Complies with organization’s C.A.R.E.S. standards. Aids in Patient care areas within the Imaging department when needed.
 
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a graduate of an accredited radiology technology program. A.R.R.T. registered in Radiology and state licensed in radiology by the LSRT required; post modality certification and multimodality background knowledge preferred. Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in diagnostic imaging operations required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to work independently and as a team member. Requires minimal direct supervision and strong organizational skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to multi-task and work well with others in a very busy environment.  Must always maintain a professional demeanor.  Must be detail oriented. Ability to work with high level professionals and low-literacy clients/patients. Skillful in customer service and public relations. Energetic drive to develop and grow a program.

 
Physical Demands:

Must possess good physical health.  Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.  Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.  Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
