About the team
The Technology Mergers & Acquisitions (Tech M&A) team leads the technology aspects of acquisitions, integrations, divestitures, and strategic investments. We partner across Technology, Product, Security, Corporate Functions, Finance, and business stakeholders to evaluate target companies, develop integration strategies, and execute complex transformation programs that enable Mastercard's growth strategy. Our team serves as the bridge between business and technology throughout the M&A lifecycle, from pre-deal due diligence through post-close integration and value realization. We assess technology environments, design future-state architectures, coordinate cross-functional workstreams, manage program execution, and help newly acquired organizations successfully transition into the Mastercard ecosystem. We operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where strategy meets execution. Team members work across diverse technologies, business domains, and geographies, helping Mastercard acquire new capabilities, accelerate innovation, enter new markets, and create long-term value through successful integrations and separations.

What we’re looking for
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or accelerated Master’s degree, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
- Previous internship experience in project management, technical program management, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through academic projects, student organizations, extracurricular activities, or community involvement.
- Exposure to data analytics concepts, tools, or methodologies through coursework, projects, internships, or other hands-on experiences.
- This role is not eligible for Mastercard’s work authorization sponsorship. As such, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, now as well as in the future, without employer sponsorship. For example, students or recent graduates in the United States on an F1 visa (including those with CPT or OPT authorization) are not eligible for this role.

Base Salary: $83,000

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
