We are excited to announce an opening for Patient Care Specialist II in our Cape Coral, Florida clinic! The Patient Care Specialist II performs advanced administrative and patient access duties to support daily medical office operations. This role is responsible for independently registering patients, verifying insurance, processing referrals, and resolving basic billing or documentation issues. The Specialist II ensures all interactions comply with HIPAA, privacy, and organizational policies while consistently providing exceptional service to patients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling, registration, visit preparation, and follow-up activities across assigned care center workflows.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, referral details, and required documentation prior to or during visits.
• Respond to patient calls, messages, and front desk inquiries, providing accurate information within established guidelines.
• Identify scheduling gaps, missing documentation, or incomplete patient information and take appropriate steps to resolve routine issues.
• Route clinical messages, refill requests, forms, and care-related inquiries to the appropriate care team members.
• Maintain accurate records in electronic medical record, scheduling, and patient communication systems.
• Support daily front office workflow by prioritizing routine tasks, coordinating with clinical staff, and escalating issues when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of administrative, patient access, customer service, or healthcare support experience.
• Working knowledge of front office healthcare operations, scheduling, registration, and patient communication processes.
• Ability to interpret standard procedures and resolve routine to moderately complex patient support issues.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems, scheduling systems, phone systems, and standard office software.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, or medical terminology preferred.
• Strong communication, service orientation, attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management skills.

Compensation Range:

$17.10

to

$25.65

 

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
