Bowie State University has a reputation for providing a high-quality education to undergraduate and graduate students and we are seeking educators who share our commitment and mission.Responsibilities:
- We are seeking to recruit qualified and experienced Adjunct faculty to teach online programs in the following areas:
- Criminal Justice
- Health and Human Services
- Health Science
- Healthcare Management
- Psychology
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must have M.A., M.S, M.Ed., with at least 18 hours in their respective areas and professional experience in the field of study.
- Certifications and industry experience required where necessary.
- Preference will be given to those having prior undergraduate-level teaching experience.
- Strong communication skills, ability to provide mentorship and guidance remotely by email, phone and or video call, and willingness to offer extensive feedback on student work required.
- ABD’s will be considered with appropriate 18 hours in the specific field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree preferred in related field.
- Prior college teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- On-line teaching experience and/or Quality Matters certification strongly preferred.
