Job Objective / Goal
The Partnership & Funding Manager is responsible for developing and executing the company’s funding and strategic partnership strategies to support sustainable business growth and ensure sufficient funding to meet lending requirements.
This role will lead the acquisition and management of funding partners, including banks, financial institutions, BPRs, investment companies, and other strategic partners, while developing long-term B2B partnerships that contribute to business growth, revenue generation, and ecosystem expansion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Funding Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute the company’s funding strategy in alignment with business growth and lending targets.
- Identify, approach, and acquire new funding partners, including banks, financial institutions, BPRs, investment companies, and other institutional investors.
- Develop and maintain a healthy funding pipeline to ensure sufficient liquidity for loan disbursement.
- Develop funding diversification strategies to minimize concentration risk and optimize lender utilization.
- Monitor funding performance, portfolio concentration, lender utilization, and overall funding capacity.
2. Strategic Partnership & B2B Development
- Identify and develop strategic B2B partnership opportunities that support the company’s business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners across banking, fintech, financial services, merchant ecosystems, other companies and other relevant industries.
- Develop partnership models, commercial structures, and collaboration opportunities that can generate business value and revenue.
- Manage the end-to-end partnership pipeline, from prospect identification and initial discussions through negotiation, contract execution, and implementation.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, partnership structures, and other agreements with prospective and existing partners.
- Explore opportunities for channeling, co-lending, referral, distribution, API integration, and other strategic collaboration models where applicable.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing partners to maximize repeat investments, business opportunities, and long-term collaboration
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or team-lead capacity.
- Proven experience in Funding, Business Development, Strategic Partnership, B2B Sales, Account Management, Corporate Banking, Investment, or Financial Services.
- Experience in banking, fintech, lending, financial services, payments, or startup/technology companies is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in managing institutional relationships and negotiating B2B commercial agreements.
