Our brand, Lennor Metier Consultinga DOLE-licensed headhunting and recruitment agency in the Philippines, is proud to partner with a leading company in the importation and distribution of raw materials in their search for a Importations Supervisor based in Taguig City.

 

Salary Range: up to ₱40,000

Work Setup: Onsite 

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Location: Taguig City

 

The role

The Importations Supervisor will oversee the end-to-end importation process for raw materials, from purchase order issuance through shipment coordination, customs clearance, and final delivery to the warehouse. The role will ensure timely processing of shipments, complete import documentation, regulatory compliance, and smooth coordination with suppliers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the end-to-end importation process, from purchase order issuance through cargo delivery to the warehouse.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely processing of import and regulatory documents.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, transport providers, and relevant government agencies.
  • Ensure import permits, clearances, shipping documents, and other regulatory requirements are complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth and timely customs clearance.
  • Ensure compliance with Bureau of Customs regulations and applicable importation requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and recommend necessary process improvements.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to 2 Importation Assistants, including workload monitoring and performance coaching.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, Logistics, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth importation operations.
  • Prepare shipment trackers, importation status reports, KPI reports, and management updates.
  • Identify shipment risks or delays, escalate issues, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

 

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in end-to-end importation, customs clearance, or international logistics.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade practices.
  • Experience coordinating with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, suppliers, and government agencies.
  • Experience handling raw material importations is highly preferred.
  • Licensed Customs Broker is an advantage but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and shipment tracking/reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
