Summary :
The Supervisor, Invasive Cardiovascular oversees the day-to-day operations of the cardiovascular and special procedure labs and cardiovascular prep/recovery (CSPA) departments. Organizes and supervises the daily workflow, creates department schedules, and reallocates team members and resources based on patient census and acuity. Discusses patient treatment plans with physicians and appropriate clinical team members. Ensures compliance with regulatory agency requirements and department policies and procedures. Promotes and strengthens employee engagement, process improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety. Maintains and enhances interpersonal relationships with medical staff, team members, patients, and visitors. Provides direct patient care services or consultation as a clinician as needed.Job Description:
**This position is M-F, primarily daytime hours. There needs to be flexibility to support off shifts or scheduled meetings outside of normal working hours. There are no holidays, weekends, or call with this role. The person would oversee locations in Neenah, Appleton, and Manitowoc. **
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develops and maintains policies and standard work for procedures conducted in the invasive cardiology areas, and ensures team member competency is maintained.
Monitors compliance with standards of care by observation, verbal reports, audits, and written documentation, with feedback loops to department leaders, providers, and team members.
Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices.
Coaches, evaluates, and motivates team members; investigates complaints and performance concerns.
Leads or implements ThedaCare initiatives, process improvements, and regulatory and/or policy changes through the work of team members by using effective change management principles to achieve high reliability outcomes.
Demonstrates leadership skills by providing expertise as a resource in the area of profession or provides access to experts and resources when needed.
Responds quickly to resolve operational or team member situations that arise, intervening in conflict resolution, and escalating difficult situations or problematic issues to the manager.
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to the rapidly changing needs of the patient, workflow, team, and ThedaCare.
Coaches the team through changes.
Collaborates on department schedules, monitors staffing levels, and provides input to the budget preparation/monitoring and the identification of workload variability to predict and plan for appropriate staffing to enhance productivity/efficiency and maintain quality care.
Maintains knowledge of cardiovascular and neurovascular accreditation programs such as American College of Cardiology (ACC), American Heart and Stroke Association (AHA), and DNV.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (RN), Bachelor of Science Degree in Registered Technologist in Radiography (RTR), Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare leadership or management or RN or RT(R) with 3 years of progressive leadership responsibilities in Invasive Cardiology, Neurology and/or Interventional Radiology (IR)
Two years of progressive leadership responsibilities in healthcare setting that includes leading teams and projects relevant to Cardiology, Neurology or IR.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and (ACLS)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance
Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
