A Day in the Life

In this role, you will serve as a key leader within the Global Supply Chain Planning organization and be responsible for advancing demand planning capabilities through process excellence, digital transformation, and forecasting performance improvement. This role partners across Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, Operations, IT, and Global Planning teams to design, implement, and sustain scalable planning processes and technologies.

You will lead the development of standardized demand planning procedures, oversee business ownership of Blue Yonder planning capabilities, and drive initiatives that improve forecast quality, planning efficiency, and business outcomes. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, change leadership, operational excellence, and deep planning expertise to support Medtronic's mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life. You will report to the Director, Demand Planning Center of Excellence. The role is based in Heerlen, and follows a remote work model. No travel is required for this position.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of demand planning processes across global business units and regions.
• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, governance frameworks, and planning policies.
• Ensure planning processes are scalable, repeatable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise supply chain objectives.
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment on planning standards, metrics, and operating models.
• Drive process harmonization initiatives across planning teams.
• Identify program risks, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve execution and program outcomes.
• Communicate program status, key decisions, and performance results to stakeholders and management while influencing alignment across matrixed teams.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree and min. of 8 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, supply chain operations, logistics, manufacturing, operations, or program management.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects or programs within a matrixed organizational environment.
• Experience utilizing supply chain performance metrics, planning data, and operational analysis to support business decisions.
• Experience developing and managing program plans, timelines, milestones, and stakeholder communications.
• Experience working with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, supply planning, or related supply chain planning processes.
• Fluency in English is required.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
