Senior Associate, Pursuits (Government)Job Description:
The senior associate is responsible for leading the development of responses to RFQ/RFPs, interview presentations, and award submissions. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, high-performing, collaborative, and has strong customer service and communication skills. The position requires excellent writing and design layout skills, project management skills, and the ability to work autonomously. Key to this position is the ability to multi-task and to remain organized and proactive while working under multiple deadlines. The position requires excellent writing and design layout skills. The senior associate collaborates with the Government market leaders; the Senior Pursuits Manager, Government; graphics/branding and communications teams; and other marketing and corporate resources.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the strategy, coordination, writing, editing, layout, and production of qualifications packages and proposals for the government market
- Collaborate with the project teams to develop interview presentation strategy and lead the development of interview materials, including InDesign presentations, interview books, and handouts
- Serve as point-of-contact for assigned business unit; guiding them as they need marketing support; maintaining project and team knowledge
- Develop and maintain market-specific marketing content including narratives and photography for proposals, brochures, company website, social media, etc.
- Update and maintain marketing templates including resumes, project sheets, collateral, proposal materials, etc.
- Manage and produce industry and project-specific award submissions
- Develop and implement solutions that improve the functionality and efficiency of the marketing department
- Collect, maintain, and analyze marketing data, including (but not limited to): resumes, project information, owner commendations/reviews, etc. in the system of record (CRM)
- Develop and ensure standard best practices and standards for pursuits management
- Recommend hardware/software solutions to improve the design product and efficiency of the pursuits team
- Maintain and control costs, as dictated by the departmental budget
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required; degrees in Business, Communications, English, Marketing or a construction-related field (such as architecture, engineering or construction management) desirable, but not required
- 3-10 years of experience in marketing, technical writing, or construction operations, or a combination thereof, with at least 3 years of proposal management experience required
- Experience developing Government (federal, local, and state) pursuits
- Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) field is highly desirable, but not required
- High level of working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is required (specifically InDesign)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Excellent technical writing and editing skills are required
- Confidence in leading operations project teams and collaborating with executive leadership individually and in group settings is required
- Demonstrated strengths in organization, multi-tasking, and project management are required
- Ability to prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple hard deadlines and long-term projects
- Working knowledge of CRM systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics, is a plus
In accordance with Virginia Senate Bill 215 (SB 215), the base salary range for this position is:
$77,000.00 - $112,000.00
Compensation in other cities and states may vary.
