Department: Outpatient Rehabilitation- Occupational Therapy
Employment Type: PRN/ Per Diem
Shifts Available: Day Shift
Hours: 8-hour shift- Variable
Location: St. Mary's Medical Center- Blue Springs, MO
Join our outpatient rehabilitation team as an Occupational Therapist (OT) and make a meaningful impact by helping patients regain independence in their daily lives. In this role, you will work one-on-one with patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions, focusing on improving functional abilities, fine motor skills, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
This is a great opportunity for both experienced OTs and new graduates who are passionate about patient-centered care and want to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):
- Deliver outpatient occupational therapy treatments focused on ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper extremity function
- Provide therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training
- Educate patients on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs (HEP)
- Document care and monitor progress in EMR (Epic)
- Support orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, CMS, and clinical guidelines
Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA, and OTAC
