Job Description

Lead Projects. Connect Teams. Make an Impact.

Great projects don’t happen by accident—they happen when strong leaders bring people, priorities, and technology together.

University Health is seeking a Project Manager to lead Information Technology projects from initiation through completion. In this role, you’ll bring structure, organization, and collaboration to complex projects while keeping teams focused on scope, timelines, deliverables, and business objectives.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders, stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure projects move forward successfully and deliver meaningful results. If you’re an organized, collaborative project professional who enjoys solving problems, managing competing priorities, and bringing projects across the finish line, we’d love to have you join our team.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Direct and manage project development from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with the IT Vision, Mission, and Values.

  • Manage project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, communication plans, and resource estimates.

  • Identify and document project stakeholders and define their roles and responsibilities.

  • Communicate project expectations, status, and progress to team members and stakeholders in a clear, timely, and consistent manner.

  • Maintain ongoing stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Build and maintain strong business relationships that are critical to project success.

  • Manage project success criteria and ensure alignment and understanding among all involved parties throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Deliver project documentation, including status reports, proposals, requirements, and presentations.

  • Deliver reporting standards, analyze progress, and address issues or risks as they arise.

  • Manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks or crises, and develop contingency and mitigation plans.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to maintain and enhance project management competencies.

  • Promote quality improvement, staff and patient safety, and cultural diversity through department operations and personal performance.

  • Maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor toward patients, visitors, employees, medical staff members, and others encountered while representing the organization.

  • Maintain current knowledge related to applicable statutes, regulations, guidelines, and standards necessary to perform job duties in accordance with the requirements of the Corporate Compliance Plan.

  • Comply with the requirements of the Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Plan, and Compliance Policies and Procedures, including training requirements, and participate in compliance activities under the direction of the Department Manager and Corporate Compliance Officer.

What You’ll Bring:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent professional project management experience.

  • 2 years of professional-level project management experience.

  • Demonstrated history of successful project management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Experience working with cross-functional technical teams and external vendors.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software.

  • Microsoft Office Suite experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certification such as PMP or Agile/Scrum certification, or plans to pursue a certification within the next 2 years.

  • Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced IT environment.

Why This Role Matters

Technology plays an important role in how University Health serves our patients, supports our teams, and advances our mission. As a Project Manager, you’ll help turn ideas and business needs into well-planned, successfully delivered technology solutions.

Your ability to coordinate people, manage priorities, anticipate challenges, and keep projects moving will make a direct difference across the organization.

Bring your project management expertise to a team where your work helps move healthcare forward.
