Description
JOB OBJECTIVE: To participate in and assign the work activities of personnel engaged in parks maintenance and construction projects for the Department of Parks and Recreation.
This is a limited service position established to temporarily fill a position during the incumbent’s approved leave of absence. Employment in this position is temporary and will end upon the incumbent’s return to work.
SAFETY/SECURITY SENSITIVE DESIGNATION:
This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of high school; two (2) years of experience in building construction, or a related area; and one (1) year of supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
- Must be available to respond to after hour and weekend emergencies in City parks and associated facilities.
FOR INCUMBENTS ASSIGNED TO BOYLE PARK:
- Employees hired in this classification must, as a residence is available, establish residency at 3101 Boyle Park Road, Little Rock, AR within ninety (90) days of employment and maintain residency throughout the duration of employment in this position. Upon termination of employment from this classification, the employee and any household members must vacate the residence in compliance with the terms and agreements as specified in the Departmental lease agreement.
