£25,038 per annum

32.5 hours consists of early shifts (06:45am to 13:45pm) and late shifts (13:45pm to 20:45pm).

Making a great first impression is really important. That’s why we need the right person to join us and help greet our patients and visitors to the hospital. What matters is that you have both the confidence and empathy to provide excellent customer care to all sorts of people.

As a Receptionist at our Hereford Hospital, you’ll bring great communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone. You’re flexible, motivated and you show plenty of initiative. You also have basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.

As a Receptionist, you will:

• To provide a friendly efficient reception service, which involves customer contact both face to face and on the telephone, and provides advice within remit of role.
• To operate a complex switchboard in accordance with agreed procedures.
• To handle queries within the remit of own role, escalating more complex / serious issues to senior staff where required.
• To admit patients to the department and make straightforward appointment bookings and amendments.
• To take payments from patients in accordance with set procedures, processing payments using appropriate processes and systems, and reconciling monies taken daily
• Provides friendly and efficient customer service
• To complete electronic and/or manual data entry / record keeping in an accurate and timely manner, to agreed format and standards
