Solutions Design & Process Improvement Manager

MAIN PURPOSE

The RLGE Logistics Solutions Design & Process Improvement Manager provides support on a diverse portfolio of (cross-functional) Projects and Processes across the RLGE scope. The role is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing improvement initiatives within logistics operations, systems, and ways of working, with the objective of driving efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement.

The job holder acts as the regional link between Group Logistics and the local operations, ensuring the effective roll-out of Group initiatives and the sharing of regional best practices. He/she represents RLGE as a member of the Logistics Operating Model (LOM), supporting the European logistics transformation and digitalization initiatives (including automation and process integration with SAP and related tools).

The job holder works closely with the RLGE Head of Product Trade Compliance, head of Transport and Customs, the Business Analytics & Reg SAP Manager, Regional Key-user and the Local Logistics leaders across our 7 sites in Europe (incl. Switzerland and UK).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Projects & System support

Support Maisons, logistics teams & management to design and implement new activities and logistics solutions (new flows, new process, systems design to support business and operational requirements).

Act as regional subject matter expert (SME) for projects, process automation and SAP process optimisation, in collaboration with IT, Group Logistics, Project management, Business Performance Manager, Regional Key User and other stakeholders depending on the subject.

• Solutions Design & Group alignment

Represent RLGE region on new Group/Regional Logistics initiatives and workshops to define and test new logistics solutions.

Act as regional focal point for SAP-related topics, collaborating closely with the Business Analytics & Regional SAP Manager and the Regional Key User. Provide input on system enhancements and incidents relevant to logistics processes.

Facilitate best-practice sharing between local markets and Group Logistics.

• Process Improvement & Standardization

Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization and harmonization across RLGE sites. Lead continuous improvement initiatives delivering measurable efficiency, accuracy and compliance gains. Guide local teams and support the development of Lean and continuous improvement capabilities.

• Regional – LOM expert

Represent RLGE Europe within the global Logistics Operating Model (LOM), to communicate, align and implement, between Group logistics, Regional Distribution Center (RDC) and Local Logistics (LL).

• Team Management

Line management of 2 direct reports: Regional Key User (RKU) and 1 intern.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate with Finance/controlling, ICS, IT, Customer Services, E-Commerce Operations, Maisons and all functions in Logistics (PTC, Transport, Business Performance, etc.) to ensure process improvements through clarification, simplification and standardisation. Engage with external partners (carriers, service providers) where needed.

PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent operational experience.
• 5-10 years of logistics experience in regional or international environment
• Excellent knowledge of Logistics flows, processes & systems,
• Fluent English. Dutch or French is a plus
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Advanced working knowledge of SAP (MM, WM, EWM); experience with automation and data analytics tools is a plus.
• Strong process improvement background: Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred.
• Challenging partnership, must be able to adapt to different internal customer/stakeholder/cultural situation
• Highly professional communication skills, able to summarise ideas and arguments for diverse audiences
• Good knowledge and awareness of Sustainability policies and practices
• Proactive attitude with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Commercial/broad business understanding

SCOPE: Covering all RLG Europe Logistics

PLACE OF WORK: The role is based in Amsterdam, NL.  Regular travel is required as part of the role, mostly within Europe and occasionally Intercontinental, Virtual meetings are preferred where possible.
