Job Summary

Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
Summary

Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff throughout the hospital or healthcare facility.

Essential Functions
Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
Clean walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and glass surfaces.
Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenish restroom supplies as needed.
Collect and remove debris from building grounds and surrounding areas.
Operate and maintain high- and low-speed floor care equipment, including stripping and buffing machines.
Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings, special events, and routine hospital activities.
Identify and report building maintenance issues and safety concerns within assigned facilities.
Follow infection prevention, safety, and departmental procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Qualifications
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving equipment throughout the shift.
Previous environmental services, housekeeping, custodial, or healthcare cleaning experience preferred.

 

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 2-3 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to work independently but also be a team player. - Good communication and comprehension skills.
