The Job
- Review new HNW submissions to verify completeness, identify missing information or documents, perform initial quality checks and facilitate appropriate case allocation.
- Coordinate with Case Management teams and other relevant stakeholders on case status, follow-up actions, issue resolution and case progression.
- Monitor outstanding underwriting, financial, compliance and administrative requirements, proactively follow up on pending items and escalate aged or stalled cases.
- Coordinate outstanding actions required for case completion to improve turnaround times, reduce case ageing and support service-level commitments.
- Prepare, organize and assemble case information and supporting documentation to enable efficient assessment by underwriters and facilitate formal underwriting submissions where required.
- Review cases prior to formal submission to ensure all required evidence, approvals, notes, requirements and supporting documentation have been obtained, appropriately recorded and are ready for underwriting decision, referral or policy issuance.
- Maintain accurate underwriting system records, workflow statuses, case tracking records and management information, ensuring case files remain complete, accurate and audit-ready throughout the case lifecycle.
- Provide administrative support to underwriters, including preparation of correspondence, requirements letters, file assembly, document management and other underwriting-related administrative activities.
- Provide backup support for straightforward savings applications within agreed limits, in accordance with established guidelines and procedures, and escalate exceptions or cases outside the agreed scope.
- Identify recurring submission gaps, operational issues and delay drivers, prepare management reports, and support performance monitoring and management review.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, support workflow enhancements, and participate in user acceptance testing, change initiatives and ad hoc projects as assigned.
The Person
- University graduate or above; professional insurance qualifications such as FLMI would be an advantage.
- 2+ years relevant experience in life insurance operations, underwriting support, new business processing or case management is preferred.
- Good understanding of life insurance application documentation, new business workflows and basic underwriting requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and an effective team player with strong follow-up capability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at different levels and across locations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
