Introduction to Team

The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. Our focus on customer-centric innovation enables us to develop products that build loyalty and repeat business. We partner closely with teams across Expedia Group to drive growth and achieve results for our customers and the company.

This Principal Product Manager role is part of the Pricing & Inventory Team team which sits within our Product division. The team enables suppliers to sell and distribute their inventory by supporting pricing, availability, rate plans, promotions, fees, and related inventory capabilities across Expedia Group’s business formats. In this role, you will shape long-term product strategy across complex workstreams and drive products and solutions that positively impact business results across multiple teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and evolve product strategy for pricing and inventory capabilities, translating complex business, marketplace, and customer needs into clear product direction and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead products end to end, from opportunity identification and problem framing through roadmap development, delivery, launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
  • Partner with engineering, data, economics, finance, operations, and other stakeholders to develop scalable solutions that improve pricing effectiveness, inventory availability, marketplace performance, and customer outcomes.
  • Establish priorities, clarify requirements, and guide cross-functional teams through complex product decisions, balancing customer value, business impact, operational considerations, and technical feasibility.
  • Use experimentation, analytics, forecasting, and other data-driven methods to evaluate product performance, test hypotheses, and refine pricing and inventory strategies.
  • Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Several years of relevant product management experience delivering complex products, platforms, or analytical solutions, with demonstrated ownership across the product lifecycle.
  • Experience leading products that require collaboration across multiple technical and business domains, including translating ambiguous problems into actionable product strategies, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong ability to use customer insights, business context, quantitative analysis, experimentation, and market or operational data to make product decisions and communicate recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption.
  • Experience leading pricing, inventory, marketplace, optimization, forecasting, or similarly complex data-driven products in high-volume or rapidly changing environments.
  • Track record of influencing product strategy and technical direction across multiple teams or domains, including making sound prioritization and tradeoff decisions.
  • Experience improving product and operational excellence through experimentation, instrumentation, automation, process improvement, and disciplined measurement of outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-driven tools, platforms, or workflows in product discovery, decision support, forecasting, experimentation, or optimization, and safely integrating AI/ML-enabled capabilities into production products.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $224,000.00 to $313,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $358,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
