Job Description
As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support badge-related processes. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with tenants and visitors, and use technology to document security-related activity. - Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking facilities, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures; provide directions and maintain a professional presence throughout the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and property management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
