Senior Project Manager – SMEIP (Mining & Heavy Industrial Projects)

A leading engineering and construction organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – SMEIP to lead the successful delivery of multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects within the mining and heavy industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and successful delivery of SMEIP projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources and project risks.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, statutory, client and SHEQ requirements.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and overall commercial performance.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Drive projects through commissioning, completion and final handover.
• Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural or a related Engineering discipline.
• Professional registration as a Pr.CPM (SACPCMP) is essential.
• ECSA registration (Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech. Eng.) will be advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years' engineering and construction experience.
• At least 7 years' experience managing SMEIP projects.
• Proven experience delivering Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Piping projects.
• Strong commercial, contractual, planning and cost management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on remote project sites.

You are an experienced Project Manager with a strong engineering background and a successful track record of delivering complex multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects. You possess excellent leadership, commercial and stakeholder management skills and are passionate about delivering safe, high-quality projects in demanding environments.
