Position Summary
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Release Management:
- Plan, schedule, and manage both regular and ad-hoc releases with high quality and within committed timelines.
- Ensure all phases of the release process are followed, covering planning, development, testing, and deployment.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to align with business goals and release schedules.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for US-based clients, translating their requirements into actionable release plans.
- Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders, aligning cross-functional teams on deliverables.
- Provide timely updates on release statuses, potential impacts, and schedules.
Process Management:
- Utilize Agile and Waterfall methodologies to manage the release process effectively.
- Drive process improvements to streamline workflows and ensure efficient release management.
- Implement best practices in change management, ensuring adherence to both organizational and client-specific requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- 8-12 years in IT, with a minimum of 5+ years in release management roles.
- Proven success managing complex releases and schedules for US-based clients.
Technical & Process Knowledge:
- Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Familiarity with release management tools (e.g., JIRA, Jenkins, Git) and process automation.
Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication, with experience in client and senior stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) or Release Management.
- Experience managing distributed teams and remote resources.
- Background in software engineering or a related technical field.
