About the Role

We are seeking a Site Safety Professional to independently manage and execute site safety programs across active construction projects. This role partners closely with the Manager I – Site Safety to implement and enhance safety initiatives that align with project and organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings strong field presence, works effectively with minimal supervision, and proactively identifies and mitigates safety risks while supporting site leadership.

  • A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Execute site safety programs independently with general supervision, ensuring accuracy of documentation and program compliance

  • Apply and interpret Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies to identify and mitigate risks to personnel and the environment

  • Monitor jobsite activities to identify unsafe behaviors and conditions, taking corrective action and escalating high-risk issues as needed

  • Collaborate with Manager I – Site Safety to implement and improve safety programs aligned with project goals

  • Conduct incident and near-miss investigations, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions

  • Lead site safety drills and support emergency response planning and readiness

  • Advise site teams and employees on hazard identification and prevention strategies

  • Manage safety observation programs, including tracking, follow-up, and reporting on trends

  • Partner with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to integrate safety into all phases of construction

  • Support incident management processes, including Drug & Alcohol Testing, Medical Treatment, and Return-to-Work programs

  • Conduct audits and present findings with recommended corrective actions to site leadership

  • Oversee procurement, use, and maintenance of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Deliver safety training to site personnel, including emergency response and equipment use

  • Maintain accurate safety records, including inspections, reports, and training documentation

  • Support execution of site safety communication plans

  • Stay current on safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to work independently with strong decision-making skills

  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

  • Ability to relocate to project site

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

  • BCSP certification (or working toward certification)

  • Experience in construction safety environments

  • Knowledge of electrical, crane, and structural safety practices

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including large group settings

  • Solid organizational and prioritization abilities

  • Ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Visio preferred)

  • Business acumen and ability to align safety with operational goals

  • Ability to motivate and engage teams in a safety-focused culture

Work Environment & Travel

  • Approximately 75% of time spent in the field

  • Frequent interaction with crews, subcontractors, and leadership

  • Required relocation to project site

  • Travel as required based on project needs

$70,500.00 - $103,175.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
