Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician
Location: Eastlake, OH
Work Setting: Fully Onsite
Travel: Occasional travel to customer facilities
Pay: $21.00 / hr - $26.00 / hr
Position Overview
We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to support the assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and electrical control panels. This role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical experience, the ability to work from technical drawings, and a strong focus on safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Build and wire electrical control panels according to schematics, diagrams, and engineering specifications.
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and fluid-system components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, manuals, and electrical schematics.
- Drill, tap, mount, and verify components during equipment assembly.
- Perform electrical testing, quality inspections, troubleshooting, and rework as needed.
- Ensure completed assemblies meet applicable electrical and UL standards.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and organized work areas.
- Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.
- Assist with training and support other production areas when needed.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and electrical safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience building and wiring electrical panels.
- Electrical degree, technical certification, or equivalent training preferred.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Basic knowledge of UL standards and electrical codes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work fully onsite.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including on short notice when required.
