Description
Lawn mowing, weed trimming, and general grounds maintenance on city-owned properties.
Trash pick-up and disposal to maintain clean parks, streets, and public areas.
Tree watering to support the health and vitality of city landscaping.
General landscaping including planting, trimming, and mulching.
General maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and assisting with upkeep of city facilities and treatment plants.
Assisting department staff with seasonal projects and routine maintenance.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to perform physical outdoor work in various weather conditions. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Valid driver’s license, required.
The starting salary is $15.00 per hour up to $20.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Seasonal positions typically operate Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. during the peak season. Employees may work up to 40 hours per week, for a period of up to six months, depending on departmental needs.
