Position Summary

The QA Associate II is part of the QA Shop Floor organization, supporting routine clinical and commercial cell therapy operations at BMS Bothell. This role ensures ongoing compliance with cGMP requirements across Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Warehouse areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Review executed batch records to ensure compliance with approved procedures; communicate and resolve discrepancies with manufacturing operators or supervisors
• Provide Quality oversight on the shop floor through QA Walkthroughs, Gemba, and Process Observations to ensure full adherence to cGMP practices
• Participate in routine cell therapy manufacturing operations, including Product Packout, Apheresis Receipt, CMAT Receipt, and Finished Drug Product Label Review and Verification
• Identify and implement improvements to walkthrough and batch review processes, as well as broader process improvement initiatives

 

This role reports to the QA Shop Floor Manager.

Shift Schedule: Sunday – Tuesday + Alternating Wednesdays | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

 

 

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field preferred
• High School Diploma or Associate degree with an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered

 

 

Experience and Skills

• 1–2 years of relevant cGMP experience in a pharma, biotech, or cell therapy manufacturing regulated environment
• Hands-on experience with batch record review preferred
• Proficiency in electronic manufacturing systems such as MES, ERP, eQMS is preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong planning, organization, time management, and execution skills

Bothell - WA - US: $34.92 - $42.32per hour

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

• US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
