Java Engineer (Portal) - Zagreb | Hybrid
  
 We're growing F24's Engineering Centre of Excellence in Zagreb and are looking for a Junior Java Engineer to join our expanding engineering team.

You
What you'll be doing:

• Developing and improving scalable, secure cloud-native applications
• Contributing to features from development through to production
• Building your experience across Java, Spring Boot and modern engineering practices
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Working closely with experienced engineers, Product Owners and other teams
• Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
• Learning from senior engineers while gradually taking greater ownership and responsibility
• Contributing ideas to improve code quality, processes and the wider product

  We're looking for:
 

• Some commercial experience developing software with Java and Spring Boot
• Exposure to Angular or another modern frontend framework
• An understanding of REST APIs and modern application development
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, CI/CD, Docker or Kubernetes is a plus
• A good understanding of clean code, testing and software engineering fundamentals
• Someone who is curious, proactive and keen to learn from experienced engineers
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for developing your skills and taking on greater ownership over time
    
   
   The salary for this role is paying up to €26,971k gross annually
