Job Details
The Senior Manager, Specialty Pharmacy Business and Operations directs specialty pharmacy support and operations to deliver service, quality, compliance, and operational performance outcomes aligned to client departmental objectives. Orchestrates strategic planning, cross-team execution, workforce planning, and service governance to maintain consistent throughput, operational continuity, and customer experience across specialty pharmacy services. Shapes workflow standards, escalation frameworks, and performance controls to strengthen process reliability, patient and provider satisfaction, and patient safety. Champions operational improvements, technology enablement, and leadership capability development to scale service delivery and sustain long-term operational effectiveness.
Location: Onsite in Roseville, CA
Responsibilities:
Drives the strategic direction of the specialty pharmacy business by identifying emerging growth opportunities and developing the business cases, operational frameworks, and stakeholder alignment needed to move from concept to execution.
Directs cross-functional coordination across pharmacy operations, fulfillment, inventory, customer support, and technology teams to ensure seamless service execution.
Establishes governance routines, escalation pathways, and operational controls to strengthen audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and service consistency.
Drives transformation of workflows, onboarding practices, and operational routines to improve throughput, reduce rework, and standardize execution across teams and sites.
Optimizes operational resource allocation, staffing coverage, and service capacity to balance delivery performance, cost efficiency, and risk management.
Influences senior stakeholders using operational metrics, trend analysis, customer feedback, and performance reporting to support decision-making and prioritization.
Standardizes workflow systems, case management practices, and operational reporting to improve visibility, traceability, and operational discipline.
Resolves escalated operational issues and negotiates cross-functional trade-offs impacting service delivery, customer experience, or operational continuity.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, healthcare administration, business, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required. Master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration strongly preferred, operations management, customer experience, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
10+ years of experience in pharmacy operations, pharmacy support, or healthcare supply chain/medication distribution, or a related field required. 5+ years of experience in a management capacity required. Certification in customer experience, customer success, project management, service management, process improvement, or equivalent preferred.

Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
