As a Chef within our Catering and Cafe team, you'll play a key role in shaping memorable food experiences across Westpac.
No two days are the same. One day you could be preparing elegant canapés for a corporate event, the next creating fresh seasonal café menus or supporting executive functions and large-scale catering requirements.
Working alongside a passionate and collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while helping deliver food that reflects Westpac's commitment to quality, sustainability and exceptional customer experiences.
This role is based at our Auckland Head Office in Takutai Square and operates Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm, with only occasional evening work required.

You'll bring:
- Proven experience as a chef with exposure to catering, events, cafés, and/or restaurants.
- A genuine passion for creating fresh, high-quality food and memorable customer experiences
- Strong background planning and designing menus, engaging with stakeholders, and seeking feedback
- Experience catering for a variety of dietary, allergen, and cultural requirements
- The ability to thrive in a busy environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support the wider team wherever needed
- Ability to maintain constructive relationships with suppliers and awareness of costs
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and New Zealand food handling standards
- A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised kitchen environment
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) would be advantageous
