Basic Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent relevant experience is required, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Clearance Requirements:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
Our environments support more than 100 contracts across approximately 50 programs and 12 distributed sites, with additional sites planned. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing Network Administrator, cross-train across classified and CUI network environments, and develop independent operational capability within approximately three to six months.
This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting secure, air-gapped network infrastructure. The position requires sound technical judgment, disciplined change-control execution, and close coordination with Information Assurance, program teams, vendors, carriers, and site personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot classified network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, TACLANEs, circuits, and related equipment.
- Perform switch and firewall configuration changes in accordance with approved change-management and security processes.
- Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and coordinate keying activities for TACLANE devices.
- Monitor network health, respond to alerts, investigate incidents, and restore service during outages or degraded conditions.
- Support network patching, vulnerability remediation, configuration compliance, and technical-debt reduction efforts.
- Assist with classified network deployments, site expansions, program on-boarding, and infrastructure refresh activities.
- Coordinate with circuit providers, carriers, vendors, site personnel, and internal stakeholders to resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues.
- Create and maintain accurate network documentation, asset records, configuration records, diagrams, and operating procedures.
- Support audit preparation, evidence collection, inspection activities, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with the Information Assurance team to support System Security Plan (SSP), Authorization to Operate (ATO), and related cybersecurity requirements.
- Assist with the transition to the future eWAN architecture and support progress toward the January 2027 ATO target.
- Cross-train across classified and CUI network environments to provide resilient backup coverage.
- Participate in occasional on-call support and travel to distributed sites as operational needs require.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant experience.
- Current Security+ certification.
- Current CCNA certification.
- Secret security clearance required
- Basic hands-on understanding of Cisco switching and routing environments, including:
- VLANs
- IP subnetting
- Routing protocols
- Switch port configurations
- Fundamental understanding of the OSI model and structured network troubleshooting methods.
- Working knowledge of firewall concepts and network security principles.
- Ability to follow established procedures, manage configuration changes carefully, document work accurately, and operate effectively in a controlled classified environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to coordinate with technical teams, Information Assurance personnel, vendors, carriers, and program stakeholders.
- Ability to work 100% on-site in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting classified, restricted, air-gapped, or Department of Defense network environments.
- Experience with Cisco ISE, 802.1X, and Cisco Catalyst Center.
- Direct experience with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and/or Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience configuring, operating, or troubleshooting TACLANE encryptors.
- Knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and their practical application.
- Experience supporting RMF, SSP, ATO, audit, inspection, or other Information Assurance activities.
- Experience with network monitoring tools, alert response, incident restoration, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience supporting multi-site networks, circuit coordination, vendor management, and infrastructure deployments.
