Overview
The Category Coordinator position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and continuously evolving environment, providing critical support to members of the Harbor Category Management team. This team member must independently prioritize workload, manage multiple concurrent responsibilities, and meet strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and responsiveness. **The position is onsite at Lacey, WA 3 days with option to work 2 days hybrid after full training.
Compensation: $25 - 29.00 per/hr. DOE

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze and present reporting, synthesizing data to assist in SKU maintenance and rationalization. Follow through with actions necessary to clear aged inventory and unproductive SKUs.
- Consolidate files for vendor meetings and negotiations. Reporting requests may include but are not limited to fill rate, purchase history, current marketing use ledgers, aged inventory listings, outstanding rebates and aged receivable ledgers.
- Ensure accuracy and completion of the Marketing contract summary and trackers, including validation of all scheduled and completed marketing elements. Work with CMs to coordinate billing of incremental elements.
- Update marketing use ledgers in collaboration with Promotional Analyst.
- Own vendor solicitation of monthly deals, responsible for receipt, processing and finalization of CM approved New Item & Deal forms.
- Support blanket order maintenance for extended lead-time items that fall outside normal stock status.
- Collaborate with Category Management to ensure program compliance orders are maintained and corresponding objectives are achieved.
- Process contract order data for proprietary programs as field orders are submitted. Coordinate with Sales and prepare Program order upload files for customer service.
- Manager may assign work with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous process improvement, including documentation, for category specific tasks.
- Manage donation requests from Sales and Vendors for retail, community, and Harbor events.
- Assist with vendor coordination and administrative support for Harbor events.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- The Category Coordinator role requires someone who is collaborative, highly organized, and has acute attention to detail.
- Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including filtering, basic formulas and report navigation required. More advanced skills including pivot table creation, lookups, compiling multi-source reports a plus.
- Effective written and verbal communication for internal teams and vendor-facing materials.
Education and Experience:
- College degree in business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field.
- The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of the convenience distribution industry and/or prior experience in a wholesale, retail, or supplier environment.
- Related office or corporate experience in a product management and/or merchandising environment.
- Applicable experience in an administrative role, database maintenance, or related position in a retail or supplier environment may be considered in substitution for a degree.
