Vice President, Captive Insurance Underwriting & Account Executive
Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced and motivated professional to join a team as Vice President, Captive Insurance Underwriting & Account Executive. This role is a unique opportunity to combine expertise in commercial insurance underwriting, client relationship management, financial analysis, and business development within the growing captive insurance marketplace.
As a key member of a team, you will have the opportunity to influence the growth and profitability of captive insurance programs while working closely with brokers, clients, and strategic partners. This role offers significant autonomy, executive visibility, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the success of the organization.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and strategic partners.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities for captive insurance programs.
- Lead due diligence and feasibility analyses for prospective captive programs.
- Evaluate, select, classify, and price risks for captive insurance companies.
- Manage renewals, coverage recommendations, pricing strategies, and program profitability.
- Conduct financial and risk analyses, including capital and profitability evaluations.
- Present captive strategies and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in captive board meetings and serve as a subject matter expert.
- Travel to client meetings, board meetings, and business development events as required.
- Drive top-line growth and bottom-line profitability for assigned captive programs.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) underwriting experience.
- Experience with large account, complex, specialty, or program business.
- Captive insurance or alternative risk financing experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities.
- Active Property & Casualty license is required.
- Proven ability to develop business and build strong broker relationships.
- Experience presenting to executive-level clients and stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM systems.
- Advanced designations or degrees such as CPCU, ARM, CPA, ACI, or MBA are preferred.
