Atrium Health Navicent Specialty Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP) or Physician Assistant to join our growing Surgical Oncology team. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to practice across the clinic, operating room, and inpatient settings while working alongside a highly collaborative group of six physicians and two APPs. The APP will provide comprehensive support to the surgical oncology team, assisting with patient care before, during, and after surgical treatment.

Position Highlights
- Full-time (1.0 FTE)
- Hybrid inpatient and outpatient practice
- Day shift schedule
- Clinic Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Assist surgeons in clinic, the operating room, and inpatient care settings
- Approximately two operating room days per week with up to eight surgical cases
- Average inpatient census/admissions of five patients per provider
- Hospital privileges required at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and follow-up visits in the outpatient clinic
- Participate in inpatient rounds and management of surgical oncology patients
- Assist surgeons in the operating room
- Coordinate patient care across the continuum of treatment
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans within the electronic medical record
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant certification
- Eligible for Georgia licensure
- Eligible for hospital privileges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Previous surgical, oncology, or inpatient experience is preferred but not required
