Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning and scheduling, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The candidate must understand planning requirements for operational readiness and be able to establish critical path activities across procurement, design, technology, delivery, facilities maintenance, tenant fit-out, testing & commissioning and handover activities for an operational facility ready to open to the public.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate across all departments of our clients organization and with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments to plans and schedules as necessary.
- Prepare and present project planning reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Mentor and develop planning staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Utilize project management software and tools to track and report on project status.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of planning principles, methods, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI).
- Able to establish and manage project dashboards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Experience with planning for Operational Readiness.
- Master’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
