This role follows a hybrid work model which consists of 4 days in office per week. Additionally, you will receive 5 additional remote days per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval.
We are looking for a highly driven professional to assist HarbourVest's Private Wealth distribution activities throughout APAC for both Evergreen and Closed-End fund offerings. Located in Singapore, this dynamic role merges Distribution Solutions duties with backing for APAC sales strategy and business development projects.
We are looking for a highly driven professional to assist HarbourVest's Private Wealth distribution activities throughout APAC for both Evergreen and Closed-End fund offerings. Located in Singapore, this dynamic role merges Distribution Solutions duties with backing for APAC sales strategy and business development projects.
The role has two primary areas of focus:
Distribution Solutions: Partnering closely with private banks, wealth platforms, and internal collaborators to bring HarbourVest products to market efficiently and effectively following the sales process.
APAC Market Strategy: Researching and analysing market, regulatory, competitive, and distribution trends to contribute to HarbourVest's private wealth strategy across the APAC region. This work also uncovers opportunities for growth.
The individual will collaborate with all APAC Private Wealth sales teams, including Japan, Australia, Korea, and South East Asia. They will develop positive relationships and serve as a regional partner supporting distribution and business growth efforts. The role will also represent APAC within the larger EMEA & APAC Private Wealth Sales Strategy function. They will ensure regional market insights, commercial changes, and distribution trends inform planning and decisions across the broader business.

What you will do:
Distribution Solutions
Partner with sales, product specialists, legal, compliance, operations, and fund teams to project manage the onboarding of distributors across APAC.
Articulate regional market requirements to internal collaborators and ensure local practices can be accommodated within existing operating models and processes.
Work directly with distributors and platform partners, where appropriate, to support a seamless go-to-market experience.
Evaluate complex commercial and operational arrangements, helping develop solutions that are commercially attractive, operationally scalable, and legally feasible.
Support ongoing product and platform initiatives, including feeder fund launches, regional fund improvements, platform integrations, and other strategic distribution projects.
Build and maintain relationships with key regional distributors, platforms, data vendors, and other ecosystem participants.
APAC Market Strategy
Monitor market, competitor, regulatory, and distribution developments across APAC to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
Conduct research and analysis to support regional business planning, product positioning, and market prioritisation efforts.
Partner with the Singapore-based APAC Private Wealth sales team and the London-based Sales Strategy function on central initiatives, presentations, business reviews, market assessments, and growth opportunities.
Evaluate new fintech, wealth technology, and fund distribution developments to help ensure HarbourVest remains competitive in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
Track regulatory developments affecting private markets distribution and help find opportunities to improve market access and product adoption.
Liaise with relevant industry bodies, associations, and external collaborators to maintain awareness of market developments and standard methodologies.
What you bring:
Strong understanding of private markets and the private wealth distribution landscape in various APAC countries.
Knowledge of Evergreen fund structures and the associated operational and distribution ecosystem, particularly Luxembourg domiciled funds.
Understanding of intermediary distribution models, wealth platforms, fund platforms, and data vendor relationships.
Highly organised with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex projects.
Strong commercial judgement combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Broad understanding of fund operations and regulated investment vehicles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional Asian language capabilities are a plus.
Strong presentation and collaborator management skills.
Experience with project management platforms like Smartsheet is advantageous.
Education Preferred:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
5-8 years of relevant experience in alternatives, private markets, wealth management, open-ended fund structures, product strategy, product specialist, distribution, or client-facing roles.
Experience collaborating with private banks, wealth platforms, distributors, or fund structures within the APAC region is strongly preferred.
