In this unique role the successful candidate will work at the top of their scope as an RVT 80% of the time. The additional 20% will be dedicated time providing management and operational leadership to the Veterinary Team. Is This Role Right For You?
Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.
Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program. Our ideal RVT candidate will also have a background in leadership and management. You'll also manage inventory, budgets, and all financial aspects of the practice so having experience in management is an asset.
