Job Summary
Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This position is intended for the new Cloud and Power focused U.S. public company that will be established through the upcoming spin-off of the existing Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment of Flex Ltd. This is a unique opportunity to join during the company's formative stage and help shape the processes, culture, and capabilities that will support its long-term success. This position is based in Austin, Texas.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assist with the preparation, review, and timely filing of the Company’s SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, with primary responsibility for assigned footnotes, MD&A sections, and supporting schedules.
- Compile and analyze financial and nonfinancial information used in SEC filings and coordinate with finance, accounting, legal, and other business partners to ensure disclosures are complete and accurate.
- Perform research on new and proposed SEC and FASB accounting and disclosure requirements, document conclusions, and assist with updating disclosures and accounting policies.
- Coordinate directly with internal and external auditors and prepare supporting documentation for SEC reporting and related audit requirements.
- Support SOX compliance over SEC reporting, including the preparation of control documentation, disclosure checklists, and variance analyses related to the monthly and quarterly close.
- Assist with accounting and disclosure matters involving equity, stock-based compensation, earnings per share, goodwill, acquisitions, and other complex or nonroutine transactions.
- Support special projects and process improvements related to external reporting and broader corporate accounting activities.
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS in Accounting (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in a financial reporting/accounting role, including SEC reporting, at a public company or a public accounting firm.
- CPA license is preferred.
- Experience with OneStream and Workiva is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and working knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and 10-Q/10-K filing mechanics
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent cross team communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, tax, and audit teams.
