Ecolab is searching for a driven Deputy Manager for future opportunities within our Finance division in Pune, India.
This is a key role responsible for leading and coordinating the accounting projects and serving as a partner to divisions and functions across the company.

What You Will Do:
- Lead and develop a 15+ member team delivering end‑to‑end RTR activities
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including controllers and corporate functions
- Will be responsible for managing and executing end-to-end General Ledger, Intercompany accounting processes and Fixed Asset accounting activities
- Govern preparation, review, and monitoring of KPIs and SLAs to ensure service transparency and business alignment
- Manage the operational activities of the department to include staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
- Coach, mentor, and train team members to strengthen technical capability and promote a performance‑driven culture
- Analyze and document business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
- Ensure strong governance over reconciliation quality, controls, and documentation
- Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
- Manage team capacity and resources including leaves, vacations, attrition, and hiring support to ensure business continuity
- Set clear performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and provide structured feedback to drive outcomes
- Identify high‑potential talent and develop succession strategies to ensure leadership continuity
- Detect improvement opportunities to trigger off new projects or efficiency opportunities.
- Participate and/or coordinate writing, updating and defining desktop procedures, Policies and Narratives.
- Collaborate and support peers to ensure overall team success and continuity of operations
- Support knowledge management activities by identifying and updating knowledge as requested and required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in accounting or finance and 10 or more years of significant work experience with at least Five years of supervisory experience.
- Team Handling experience (15-25 FTE)
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Understanding of internal controls over financial reporting (i.e. Sox)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word and Outlook software.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with fluency in English.
